ABP Cut Glass CARAFE Pitkin & Brooks #10 SQUAT Pattern, early 1900s Production

Fantastic old wine or water carafe for your fancy bar!

This carafe stands 7.25" tall, 6.5" wide at the most bulbous part, and 2.75" wide at the top of the rim.

It was made by Pitkin & Brooks of Chicago.
"
Pitkin & Brooks was a china and glass business in Chicago that began operating in 1872 and was incorporated in 1891. The company established a cutting shop at  Valparaiso, IN (1911-1918)  but the Bowling Green factory probably provided most of the company’s cut glass."

There are no chips or cracks. There are a few spots of cloudy mineral deposit in the very bottom, which are not obvious or major.

Shown in their original 1902 Cut Glass catalog (see reference photo provided). a huge thanks to Greg Randall of the American Cut Glass Discussion Group on facebook, who identified the maker of this piece.

Thanks for looking!
