Here is a late forties / early fifties Royal Enfield 500 Twin engine, which is roughly 80% complete and in need of a full rebuild. The engine turns freely, with no discernible play in the big ends, but it would be worth checking them! Also, the cylinder bores are quite worn. Parts obviously missing are the pushrods, timing chain, cylinder head nuts and timing cover screws, although the threads for these screws in the crankcases seem to be ok, as are the spark plug threads in both cylinder heads, which are complete but should be checked over in case they need work. I haven't noticed any fin damage, but please study the pictures and I will try to answer any questions.
Collection only on this one, please as it is too heavy to post!

Edit:
Please note, following questions asking whether I will strip this engine and post to India etc, no, I will not as it would be too expensive and time consuming to do so. However, I am prepared to remove the barrels and heads and pack these separately to the crankcases and crank, pistons etc [bottom end] in order to make two lighter packages for any courier arranged by a buyer to collect from me, provided full payment has been received by myself.
