What is a Star Wars Australian Newsstand Price Variant?
Unlike the Marvel APV's the Dark Horse Newsstand Price Variants are books that were actually printed in Australia by Trielle Komics under the Dark Horse Imprint and were released on Newsstands in Australia between 1994-1997. Sometimes there is added content to the book or sometimes the book exact copy of the US release apart from the cover price & barcode.
Why does that matter?
Trielle Komics Star Wars Books were very low print run books (low thousands) - available only direct to Australian Retailers. All unsold copies were pulped as per the normal procedure of the day. So not only are these books rare, but it's virtually impossible to find high grade copies as very few Comic book shops sold them directly to collectors.
