Corvette 50th Anniversary Commemorative Pin & 1953 Matching Cap!

With Matching Serial Numbers #1402

That’s right all you elite collectors – the serial numbers are 1402!!!

I know I don't have to tell you, but if you're reading this, then I assume you know about the "Kick Off" 50th Anniversary Celebration that was in Nashville.  What you may not know is there were special collectible items that were introduced at different times during that magnificent 2-day event.  For instance, this VERY UNIQUE PIN was unveiled on June 27th (Friday, the first day of the event).   This exquisite limited edition pin is what we have up for your bidding enjoyment.  There were 1,953 of the pins produced serial numbered from 0001 thru 1953 to celebrate the birth of the Corvette.   This beautiful collector-display quality pin measures  1- 3/8" in diameter, and has a golden matte finish with red, white, blue and yellow accents and is encircled with a silver matte band.  This collectible is clearly more than a pin.....  it would be a proud addition to any 50th Anniversary Corvette collection!

It includes a certificate of authenticity from the manufacturer that reads:

"This certifies the 1953 sequentially numbered edition pin is one of a kind and will never be duplicated or produced by GJA or Genesis."

This jewelry-quality pin is attached to a placard that gives the following history for the creation of the pin.

"The original emblem for the 1953 Corvette included the American flag.  On January 16, 1953, the decision was made to change the Corvette emblem just minutes prior to the unveiling of the Corvette at the opening of the Motorama show in New York.  Bob Bartholomew changed the American flag on the Corvette emblem to what we know today.  This emblem has never been unveiled to the public, however, it is housed at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY".

Then the Cap!  THE CAP WE HAVE FOR THIS BID HAPPENS TO ALSO BE CAP #1402 OF 1953 CAPS.

Some of the depicted images are from previous Auctions.  Again, be assured the Cap and Pin are Serial #1402

These "Limited Edition, Numbered Caps" sold out in Nashville at the Corvette 50th Anniversary Bash in an insane pace! If you weren't there on Friday with $35.00 for each cap...  forget it...  not a chance!

These superb Limited Edition Corvette caps match the 1953 Vette paint/interior schemes. There were 1,953 produced of the white and red Corvette cap (1 of 1,953 up to 1,953 of 1,953 total caps) - see pictures. Each is individually numbered and embroidered on the left side with that number. The front of the caps are embroidered and the right side features a bronzed 50th Anniversary logo. These collector caps are made of brushed cotton twill, and the bill features the 50th logo embossed in a leather-like material. The back strap is adjustable with a metal slide buckle. The cap includes the 50th logo embroidered on the back.

Ships for $5.95 to continental USA ONLY, or Shipping Internationally, to limited destinations, using the eBay Global Shipping Program!  Again, You have to have an actual United States lower 48 states "verified" address for $5.95 shipping!  The Global Shipping program does have an actual USA address. If You do not want to use the eBay Global Shipping Program, You must have Your eBay account registered in the USA with a verified USA address for a qualified USA shipping location!   Beware! There are some International locations that the Global Shipping Program CANNOT Ship to!!  Make sure that You check the excluded International locations before bidding!  If You are on the excluded list, DO NOT BID!!  If You are in one of the excluded locations, the eBay Global Shipping Program CANNOT ship Your items to You!  NEITHER CAN I!  I DO NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!  I cannot see any of the Global Shipping Program invoicing to You, the Buyer!  That is handled By the Global Shipping Program rules.  The Global Shipping Program will calculate Your applicable (additional) fees, tariffs, etc. and shipping charges to Your International location.

Those fees and charges plus International shipping charges are YOUR responsibility, NOT MINE!!!  Please don't ask Me to remove the charges that Your Country has specified for eBay to collect!!  I do not have the ability to do that, nor will I discount the item to reflect that amount!

The Global Shipping Program cannot (I contacted eBay and this fact was verified) generate an Invoice for orders that contain multiple items!  I assume that their systems cannot correctly differentiate between items with multiple weights, quantities, parcel sizes, and contents!

It really saddens Me to have to keep saying this, but almost ALL International Buyers seem to want Me to do just that! It is a waste of MY time to deal with International Buyers who don't want to pay their Countries Lawful Taxes and Duties...
The eBay Global Shipping Program uses a USA shipping address
(again, I pay shipping charges to them), and is a re-shipper, that handles all of the required paperwork and shipping charges (You pay charges from them to Your address) for International buyers.

I have NO connections with the eBay Global Shipping Program, or International destinations taxes, tariffs, charges, fees, shipping, or any other pieces of the process...
Again, I don't do any International shipping. They have the required expertise to do that.

Soo.. If You ask Me to ship to an International address, change the
Taxes, Tariffs, Fees, etc. or attempt to break the Law, Your Order will simply be "CANCELLED"!!

NO EXCEPTIONS!

So here is the legal stuff. The caps were commissioned by GM and Summit Marketing (thru The Corvette 50th Store) for the Nashville 50th Anniversary Celebration. They are brand new, never worn, plastic bagged, and stored in a non-smoking environment. They are officially licensed (B10120) by GM... all GM trademark tags and placards are still in place. These are the only "OFFICIAL LIMITED EDITION NUMBERED HATS" produced and are not available anywhere except on the secondary market.

Summit Marketing is an official licensee of GM for the Corvette 50th Anniversary Store.

The 50th Anniversary Coin was proudly produced by WKRW Visual Arts. It is truly spectacular. Again, as the hats, the Coins were Commissioned for the Celebration in Nashville. These are brand new, still in collector tin, with the official GM licensee (C21054) Hologram still intact.
