We are pleased to offer this Ann Weikle Sampler that was completed on Novermber 26, 1812. The top of the sampler has upper and lower case alphabet followed numbers. There are pictures of birds, animals and two men carrying buckets. This sampler has about a half dozen holes and is in the condition found and has not been conserved.  After exAmination out of the frame......sampler is glued around to edges, to a thin hardboard.   It appears to be hide glue, which is water soluable....but not sure on that.   Also,, it appears sampler may have been trimmed a bit on the edges.   Appears to be in it's original birds eye maple frame, however, there is NO glass.  The sampler measures approximately 11 3/4" x 13 3/4" with the frame measuring
16 3/4" x 17 3/4". What a wonderful addition to your sampler collection. Thank you for looking.
