You will see how the iron ore is mined from the ground and transported by rail, to the coast where it is blended and loaded onto the ships.
This documentary is also the story of the American Locomotive Compan designs that have given remarkable servive in the Pilbara, an exteremly hasrh enviroment for the last 30 years
Filmed in 1994 ,as the final chapter of Alco operation in the region was about to close
