How to configure the phone in roaming and connect to the network?
Usually, you do not need to configure anything - registration in the network of a foreign operator occurs automatically.
If the network of a foreign operator does not appear on the display of the mobile phone, reboot the phone. If this did not help, set the automatic network search mode. Yes, the phone will be able to choose the network with the best signal strength. To do this, in the smartphone settings:
Select Phone settings or Cellular data (depending on model).
Next, tap Network Selection and switch to Automatic.
Wait a little - after registration, the operator's network name or network code will be indicated on the mobile display.
To use the Internet, turn on data roaming and select the access point (APN) — internet.
How to use the Internet, make calls and send SMS while roaming?
To call or send SMS from roaming, use the international dialing format [+] [country code] [city code / mobile network code] [subscriber number].
For example, you call a Kyivstar subscriber in Ukraine. The whole number will look like this:
380 67 ХХХХХХ, where
"+" is an international exit,
380 is the code of Ukraine
67 is the Kyivstar network code
To use the Internet, in the phone settings, enable data roaming and select the access point (APN) — internet.
If your phone automatically updates applications or email, such updates will be billed as internet traffic. You can choose in the phone settings which applications can use mobile traffic while roaming. If you do not plan to use the Internet while roaming, simply turn off data transmission in your phone to avoid additional costs.
According to the basic roaming tariffs, in order to make or receive a call, use the Internet and send SMS, you must have an amount sufficient to pay for the corresponding package of minutes, SMS or megabytes.
The recommended amount on the mobile account is UAH 100.
