This is a Quartzo Classic Grand Prix 1/43rd scale diecast model released back in the early 1990's, if memory serves me correctly. The model is of Austria's Niki Lauda and is the March 711 that he drove in the 1971 Austrian Grand Prix; he unfortunately DNF'd in that race.

The car's racing number is #26. The Quartzo white sticker is still on the side of the acrylic top and the gold sticker giving the car's info below the model is still in place and not pealing upward as is often the case. The driver's helmet and coveralls are a faithful rendition of the red helmet and white driver's suit Niki used. This model comes with the correct STP oil decals; really eye-catching.

Lauda won the 1975 World Driving Championship for Ferrari and repeated again in 1977. He came out of retirement and won the 1985 championship driving for McLaren. He served for decades as an assistant to Toto Wolff's Mercedes Grand Prix team and was in that position when he passed away a few years ago from complications associated with his horrendous accident in the 1976 German GP (made famous in the movie "Rush").

This is nearly Like-New; no issues of any sort. I do not know, however, if this car came with a white cardboard sleeve or not. I do not recall it having one.
