The Second Winter Campaign (November Raid) is a military operation of the Army of the Ukrainian People's Republic in October-November 1921. The goal is to raise an all-Ukrainian anti-Bolshevik uprising and restore Ukrainian statehood. Three rebel groups took part in the campaign: Podilsk (commander - M. Palii-Sydoryanskyi), Volynsk (commander - Yu. Tyutyunnyk), Bessarabsk (commander - A. Guliy-Gulenko) and V. Nelgovskyi's division. Ukrainian troops succeeded in defeating a number of Bolshevik units, liberating part of the territory of Ukraine, and capturing military trophies. However, the rebels were defeated by the overwhelming forces of the enemy. 360 captured Ukrainian soldiers were shot near the village of Bazar in Zhytomyr Oblast. The Second Winter Campaign became the final page of the Ukrainian Revolution of 1917β1921.
