The medal was instituted on October 1, 1829 during the reign of Tsar Nicholas I, to commemorate the end of the 1828-1829 war against Turkey. It was awarded to all ranks of the Imperial Russian Army and Navy, who had actively participated in the Turkish War of 1828-1829.
A fantastic part of military history not to be missed at this low listing price. It would be extremely hard to find a much better example than these medals, medals weight a bit.
