Tire Lettering Installation Tips: Follow these tips and the instructions for absolute best results!
- When installing our product it's important that you clean the tire very well before application, as well as the backside of the decals. Read the instructions and perform every step. Cleaning the tire with the proper solvent and holding pressure on the decal for enough time to let the glue bond is critical. Used tires with old tire shine can sometimes take a really long time to get clean, it might take more than 2 or 3 times to actually get all the grease off. New tires are easier, but still you must use Acetone for best results cleaning. For a first timer this instillation process could take a few hours but will be worth it.
- Only apply ~4 letters or so at a time so you can adequately hold pressure on the entire section you are applying. Again hold for 1-2 minutes. Peel back the transfer mid way through to wipe/clean any oozing adhesive, then continue holding for a clean outcome. Don't use too much adhesive, just a thin layer covering the entire backside of the letter.
- Allow the tire lettering to dry/cure for about 30 minutes before rolling the vehicle. Make sure to peel all clear transfer covers off the lettering before rolling the vehicle.
- Use a piece of string, cord, iPhone charger cord-anything, to measure the gap in-between the lettering to get a perfect top and bottom placement spacing on the tire. NEVER install the lettering on the bottom of the tire where there is pressure from the vehicle's weight. You can install at 9 and 3 o clock locations on the tire, OR, 12 noon while sitting on a stool. Install 12 noon location on all 4 tires, let dry, peel all transfer covers off, rotate the vehicle then repeat installing on all 4 tops of all 4 tires.
