these items are an antique green-painted firkin with its original wooden handle but without its lid made c.1900 & a small c.1900 berry pail with iron bail handle which has an original old patina unpainted surface - the firkin is 10" across the top & 11" across the bottom - it stands 10" high with the handle down & with the handle up, it measures to 15" to the top of the handle - the firkin would have had a 10" lid, but, that is missing - at the top is a nice wooden band around the firkin that tapers to an arrow point - at the bottom are two wooden bands around the firkin that taper to arrow points, but the top band at the bottom has slight damage where the tip comes to the arrow point which has an old repair done with small brads -
the firkin has a wonderful old original green painted surface

the small & very cute wooden berry pail measures 6" across the top & 7" across the bottom - it is a petite 6" high with its original iron wire bail handle with a wooden holder - the pail has its original three steel bands which hold the pail staves together which are as tight as when it was manufactured 120 years ago - the firkin & pail will be packaged together with lots of bubble wrap between the pail & the firkin to protect both items -
