JOHN FORD’S AMERICA: John Ford is without question one of the greatest directors in
the history of cinema. This critically acclaimed documentary examines how Ford
portrayed American history and folklore in films such as “She Wore a Yellow
Ribbon, Drums Along the Mohawk, Rio Grande, Fort Apache, The Grapes of Wrath,
Mister Roberts and many other timeless classics. Hosted by Ford regular, Harry
Carey, Jr. with special guests: Jimmy Stewart, Ben Johnson, Joanne Dru, Henry
Fonda and John Ireland. Also featured are rare home movies from the John Ford

in Ford’s movie classics. Johnson won an Oscar for his work in “The Last
Picture Show.” In this personal and intimate documentary, Ben and Harry recall
their experiences with Hollywood legends such as John Wayne, Henry Fonda, James
