Antique Brown Leather Hard Shell Lined Suitcase - "Pescott Maker Manchester"​

This is an antique brown leather hard shellsuitase.

The case is embossed with the maker:
'Pescott Maker Manchester'

'George Pescott: 119 Market Street, Manchester​'

There are also owner's initials on the top reading:
'R.H.B'
Richard Henry Brunton FRGS MICE (26 December 1841 – 24 April 1901) was the so-called "Father of Japanese lighthouses". Brunton was born in Muchalls, Kincardineshire, Scotland.
He was employed by the government of Meiji period Japan as a foreign advisor, primarily to build lighthouses.


The suitcase has a brass 'secure lever' and a green striped lining.
