Body Glove eyeglasses found its roots in the “Dive n’ Surf shop in Los Angeles, where the first commercially viable wetsuit of neoprene was developed. Bob and Bill Meistrell focused on safety and created standards followed by the entire dive industry. The first “Body Glove” was a custom tailored wetsuit, and they were the first to customize wetsuits for the military, the L.A. Police department, lifeguards and other industries. During the 1980’s Body Glove evolved its product line into bathing suits, jackets, and other garments; due to the California styling, Body Glove found itself on the covers of fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, and others.
