The NPC(New Pocket Classics) is a rare edition(possibly scarce) of "Tales of Edgar Allan Poe" published in 1930 by The MacMillan Co. Although stated as revised from 1901 on the title page H.Y. Moffett, these particular editions have been hard to find even after extensive research. Features include Illustrations by A. Gladys Peck some full-page, a detailed frontispiece, an Ex-Libris label indicated with decorative boards and endpapers both front and rear, as well as softcover cloth covers and binding.(similar to leatherette) Please check all the photos for additional details and ask questions anytime and please make my store one of your visits as you will find an expanding inventory of many genres of antiquarian and vintage books. Condition:GD(Good)-Covers and binding have moderate to significant wear that includes corner bumps, abrasions, frays, letter fading and a couple small dents to the binding, as well as an 1/8in dent(shallow hole to the front cover. There is also moderate to heavy staining and/or soiling to the covers and binding. The front hinge has splitting up and down, but is fully intact. Boards and endpapers have splits, staining, and/or soiling. Interior pages are crisp mostly off-white/tan with moderate to heavy foxing and/or staining. However , book still is a desirable item with fully attached covers and boards, no tears, and no loose or missing pages!
