Vintage Painting Japanese Geisha framed Watercolor Red Kimono w Paper Umbrella.

Purchased at an estate sale. 

Signed by Sr. M. Catherine. [Sister Mary Catherine]?

I do not know the age of this painting.  

I believe it a watercolor, but not positive.  It could be acrylic.

The art paper is thick/sturdy with a shiny back (material). 

No shedding of the paint or degradation that I can see. 

Painting is matted and framed with a bamboo motif to the frame. 

Exact size framed:  W11 3/4 inches X H14 3/4 inches.

Painting is under glass. 

Wire for hanging.

Scene:  Garden. Weeping Japanese Cherry Tree in the background and garden Pagoda art.  And...the Geisha in her red kimono holding her paper umbrella. 

Very beautiful.
