ABOUT US:
We are “Nazar Drums” Workshop from Moldova, for the moment with 3 shop members. We are new on Ebay; however, we have over 10 years of experience making all kinds of drums and other musical instruments. We are still building African djembes and shamanic goatskin drums, but our main drums for 3 years now have been shaman vegan drums, with printable plastic membrane. And this change hasn’t only been because of our choice – it has also been the choice of “Nazar Drums” customers, they appreciate the vegan drums a lot (for now there are around 140 vegan shaman drums happy owners in Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania).  They choose shaman vegan drums as they have many advantages - 

VEGAN SHAMAN DRUM ADVANTAGES:

i) 100% vegan instrument:
for many people, the fact that no animal product is utilised in our drums is an important consideration. We have been building goat skin drums since 2009, but we realised that for us it is also much easier for the spirit by not making instruments with that karma.

ii) sound:
sincerely, for us and for many owners of our vegan drums, the sound you get from a plastic membrane is just as deep and sometimes even deeper, than that from any goat-skin drum. iii) stable and consistent sound at any temperature:
now you don’t have to worry about the temperature, in contrast to a goatskin drum which is susceptible to changes in temperature. The shamanic vegan drum is more comfortable and practical to keep and play, so enjoy playing it – it will have a good sound anytime and anywhere.

iv) weight:
it's very light, weighing only 800-1200 grams. It is very comfortable to play for any length of time without getting any pain in the shoulders.

v) water-resistant:
every drummer or shaman musician has had this pain when playing outdoors – rain or fog. From now on, you can forget about this as your vegan membrane is safe from the effects of water.

vi) tuning:
the vegan drums we build have a well-thought-out and well-made tuning system that is also very simple to use. You can make the sound lower or higher as you wish, to a precise note. This is an important consideration not just for musicians playing in bands; it is also useful, for example, if you want to tune your drum to the same note as your Tibetan bowl. It's not heavy and has a beautiful look because of the printing, and can be used by different people in different ways:

MATERIALS OF THE DRUM AND WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE SET:

• the wooden frame part of the drum is made from many layers of veneer. To keep it light, we don't put too many layers, but it's strong enough;
• the handle is fixed within the rope giving the possibility for the entire body of the drum to vibrate – this is important in making a deeper sounding drum;
• for the membrane, We use a special kind of plastic – We tried many different types until we finally found one which was the most durable and gave the best sound too;
• a stick for playing (shaman beater) is included in the set, made from acacia or linden wood. For the soft material, We use faux fur (synthetic wool), and so that it is also vegan.
• the small metal tuning hex key is included in the set too.

Time of processing the instrument is 1-2 business days – in this time after the order is placed, we will carefully pack and send you your instrument.

The specific drum that you see in the photo has been sold. However, we can make the same drum again.

Of course, due to the availability of raw materials, there will be small differences from drum to drum, things like the colour of the drumstick or the colour of the material on the side of the frame drum body. However, the main things like the wooden drum body and the resulting sound are stable characteristics for all the drums. All the work is done to a professional level and the best quality.
