1990 Mercedes Benz SL-class European
Brochure
Die SL-Edition
German Language
When the all-new R129 Mercedes SL
was introduced for the 1990 model year, they printed this extra-large sales (approx.
12” x 17’) brochure for the German market called ‘Die SL-Edition’ (the
SL-Edition). These were only distributed to special, repeat customers.
The brochure focuses on two
artists, Hans Liska and Andy Warhol. Each is briefly described as to how their work
was significant to Mercedes Benz.
Furthermore, three samples of
their work is shown in the following pages (two from Hans Liska,
one from Andy Warhol)
In all of them, the 300SL is
the central focus.
In addition, there is some
discussion on the all-new R129 SL and a color picture of that car as well.
This is a truly unique piece
of literature.
