Sometimes this is identified as a KGB or MVD spy camera, but some argue that it was a commercial attempt to replicate the smaller rollover cameras of the KGB and other intelligence services.

Unlike the KGB rollover cameras this camera is larger -- roughly the size of a hardback book.

It incorporated some features that were lacking in the earlier KGB rollover cameras to help film advance, and it was easier to service.

It uses 16mm slit film, and documents are copied by rolling the camera across the page.  Wide pages may require additional passes on the page.  It's a copier in your hand that uses photographic film.

This lot includes the original fitted zippered case and an extra film cartridge.
