Myrrh, Latin name Commiphora Myrrha, is a beautiful tree of the Burser family originating in Arabia, the Red Sea and Somalia. Its essential oil, known for its important healing properties, is considered almost "sacred" and is mentioned in most religious texts of various cultures.

Myrrh essential oil is extracted by the steam distillation method of the gum tree resin and has a fresh, spicy, balsamic aroma with a medicinal note.

Myrrh essential oil by Herbstore.gr is a product with remarkable virtues. Due to its antiseptic and disinfectant action, it is ideal for treating oral cavity problems, such as ulcers, sores, infections, while its mucolytic and decongestant properties make it ideal for fighting bronchitis, cough and cold. Here, the use of oil and patches is recommended. In respiratory diseases (bronchitis, runny nose, pharyngitis, laryngitis) Myrrh essential oil has a strong expectorant effect, when administered as an ointment or by inhalation. It is similarly used in massage to help new skin in scars, wound healing and ulcers.

In aromatherapy, Myrrh essential oil is used to soothe the central nervous system in nervous fatigue, tiredness or general nervousness. It has a strengthening and stabilizing action. As an application, abrasions, bath oils and massage are recommended.

Tip! To soothe sore and tired feet, add a few drops of myrrh to your bath and your feet will be relieved immediately.

It is excellently combined with juniper berry, frankincense, clove, cardamom, sandalwood and cypress.
