As you can see in the second last picture it was bound by the highly regarded G Matthews It comes equipped with a silver plated hasp in fine working condition engraved with the message Mis Peaice Walcot House Bath Preface dated 1779, but a note after the Preface states: N.B. The Additional Hymns at the end of this book, and a few others, distinguished by the prefix od an asterisk, which were inserted in this edition, were not in the editions during the life of Mr. Wesley.
