Vintage Greenhill Church Musical Conductors Baton W/ H/m 1945 Silver Furnishings​

This conductors baton has a repousse silver top, collar and end which feature hallmarks for:
'London 1945'
The baton also had a makers mark: 'F.D'

The collar has a presentation reading:
'Presented to
Miss H.E.Lawson
by the scholars of
Greenhill Methodist
Sunday School
June 1947'

'For over 200 years Greenhill Methodist Church has been serving the community in Greenhill, on the southern edge of Sheffield. They regularly take part in community work as well as providing services for people in the area.'


The baton has a tapered ebon.y shaft and unscrews into 2 pieces at the collar for storage in its original black leather case which has a navy velvet & silk lining along was a brass clasp.
