This pickguard is loaded with Seymour Duncan's popular Everything Axe set, complete with high quality Seymour Duncan Potentiometers and the Liberator Solderless Pickup Change System. Because of the Liberator, the input jack of the guitar can be screwed directly into its terminals, making installation of the pickguard 100% solderless for customers. A detailed wiring diagram is included as well. The pickguard is a classic white 11 hole Strat pickguard.
The Everything Axe set consists of some of the most flexible Strat pickups Seymour Duncan offers. The SJBJ-1b JB Jr. (bridge), SDBR-1n Duckbucker (neck/middle), and the SL59-1n Little '59 (neck/middle). These three pickups combine to give you hum cancellation and an incredible amount of tonal versatility!
Description You can't always pull out a unique guitar for every tone requirement, but this matched set for Strat produces an amazing variety of tones. All three pickups are true humbuckers, so forget about that pesky 60-cycle hum that can haunt Strat-style guitars.
For the bridge position there's the SJBJ-1b JB Jr., a single coil-size version of our popular JB humbucker, loved for its high output, rich harmonics and bright and articulate highs.
The SDBR-1n Duckbucker is recommended for the middle. It has all the "quack" of a vintage Strat with none of the hum. Recommended for the neck position is the SL59-1n Little '59, which gives the warm, fat tone of a vintage P.A.F. humbucker. This calibrated set turns your Strat into an incredibly versatile instrument, perfect for all musical styles. And the elimination of 60-cycle hum is a bonus that will make your engineer's life easier. Wiring diagram and mounting hardware included.

About the Guitars: We used all brand new Fender American made '62 re-issue Strat with a medium-weight alder body a rosewood board and a fresh set of American Flyer 10-46 gauge strings. We kept the pickup-to-string heights consistent between each change of pickups.
About the Amps: We employed the "highest common denominator" philosophy in our amp selection. For clean tones, we used a silverface Fender Super Reverb with stock 4x10 "blue frame" speakers. We kept the Bright Switch "On" throughout. For crunch tones, we used a well-worn Marshall JCM 800 50 watt master volume head through a new Marshall 1960A Celestion®-loaded 4x12 cabinet. We plugged into the High output. With both amps we close miked straight-on with SM-57s through a Soundcraft Spirit Folio Mixer.
