I am very fortunate to live in an area that used to be rich with textile factories.

They were excellent employers and most people that worked in them valued the job and often served until retirement.

That being said, there were fringe benefits to working there.  They had company stores where employees could purchase unfinished items, less than perfect, and over-runs.

I love finding hoards of these (sometimes unused) at estate sales.  Although I love them and have used them personally over the years, I found myself hoarding so many that will never get used.

This is one such item.
