INSTALLATION & RECALIBRATION


Many appliance parts, especially electronic control board parts, may store fault or error codes. Most of these errors need to be "cleared" from the appliance after the new part is installed and before the new part will work properly. Unfortunately, no appliance manufacturer has a standard recalibration process. You will need to search by your MODEL number plus the error description to try to find this process and if it is necessary for your particular machine model, or to consult the owner's manual.


ONLY A SYMPTOM?


Before installing the part, make sure that the part to be replaced is the ONLY issue with the machine. Some parts go bad because they are a symptom and not the actual problem. If the old part is replaced with a brand new part, it will go bad again. For example, some machines have a situation that when the pump fails it also takes out the fuse on the mother board. Therefore, if the board were to be replaced solely, the pump would blow that fuse again.
