The slates were originally mined in Pennsylvania and floated down the Mississippi rivers on rafts and used on roofs circa 175 years ago.
The art prints depict 2 streets from the famous French Quarter called 'Vieux Carre' which translates to 'Old Square'.
Still with original leather cords and labelling, adding to their rarity and value.
