Warranty Information

Free Standard Limited Parts Warranty:

Myers Auto Parts warrants to purchaser that any item we sell, to be free of defects for a period of 30 days from date of purchase. If the part fails under normal use, Myers Auto Parts exclusive remedy is to exchange the part if another part is in stock, offer yard credit or a monetary refund. The following conditions apply to the Limited Parts Warranty (standard) and the Extended Parts Only Warranty (if purchased):

  • Invoice must accompany all claims under warranty (NO EXCEPTIONS!!!)
  • The part being returned must be marked with our ink or otherwise verified to be the original part purchased.
  • Original purchaser must make warranty claim.
  • Defective merchandise must be returned to us in the same condition as when sold and within 30 days of purchase.
  • Any sheet metal damage claim must be made at the time of delivery or pickup.
  • Myers Auto Parts must be notified of any defective transmissions, engines and axle assemblies prior to any repairs to fix the defective part. All engines and transmissions that are returned for defects must be accompanied by a receipt from a licensed automotive repair shop. If this is not accompanied by a receipt from a licensed automotive repair shop, the warranty is void.
  • Labor is not covered.
  • Parts used for anything other than their original application are not covered under any warranty. (i.e. racing, off road or commercial use).
  • We reserve the right to have the original part inspected by a specialist (Transmission or Engine shop) to determine the cause of failure. Expect a few days for this process.
  • Myers Auto Parts reserves the right to determine whether part replacement or yard credit is to be issued. This is at Myers Auto Parts discretion.
  • Improper installation will void your warranty. New seals, fluids, belts, water pumps and filters are required where applicable (must provide receipts for work done to the part and receipt from licensed automotive repair shop).
  • We guarantee our engines and transmissions against rod knock, excessive smoke, cracked block and excessive oil consumption. Accessories such as water pump, throttle body, fuel rails valve covers and manifolds are not covered or guaranteed and are left on for the customer's convenience.

Return Policy:

If you need to return an unneeded part it must be made within 30 days and there will be a 30% restocking fee. 30% covers our overhead and labor costs involved in pulling the part, restocking and shipping and handling.

Parts must be returned unused by the purchaser and in the same condition as purchased. Special Order parts returned will be charged the 30% mentioned above as well as shipping costs both ways, in the event the part is unwanted and returned as purchased.

Extended Parts Only Warranty:

For an additional cost extended, parts only, warranties are available for up to 90 days. If purchased, this will appear on the invoice as a separate item. Extended warranty applies to original purchaser only and will be verified with a driver's license. Free replacement of the part sold will be provided.

In the event the seller is unable to provide or obtain a replacement part, the full cost of the part will be refunded. All conditions of our standard 30 day warranty apply to any extended warranty purchased.

Special Order Parts Warranty:

Parts that are shipped in from another yard will carry that company's warranty, not ours. Most recyclers have similar warranties and we will do everything we can to help you solve any problems you might have. Please see return policy above for special order returns.

Electronic Parts Warranty:

VERIFY COMPATIBILITY WITH YOUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP IF YOUR ID NUMBERS DO NOT MATCH!!! We will not accept returns for items that are purchased and are not compatible. Please confirm compatibiliy prior to purchase. Myers Auto Parts reserves the right to warranty or not warranty all other electronic components and is under the discretion of our employees. Recycled electronic modules may need to be programmed to function properly. Please verify with your local dealership programming information prior to purchasing. We will not accept a return if the dealership confirms the module needs to be programmed and the customer is unable to provide an invoice for the services provided. Myers Auto Salvage will assume no responsibility for programming costs.

Core Return Policy:

All core returns must be accompanied by an invoice. There are no exceptions. You will have 30 days to return your core from the date of purchase. This includes business days and weekends. If you do not have your invoice your core money will not be returned until an invoice is presented. This helps to keep our records in order so we can better serve our customers.

A = 1 or less units of damage
B = 2 or less units of damage but more than 1
C = more than 2 units of damage
Mechanical Part Grading
A = Less than or equal to 60k miles, or greater than 60k miles but less than or equal to 200k miles and less than or equal to 15k miles per year
B = Greater than 60k miles and less than or equal to 200k miles but greater than 15k miles per year
C = Greater than 200k miles
