Made of porcelain. This has a bell shape.
Looks like you could place a tiny bit of warming wax in the top.
This does have some wiggle or play in the area where you twist on the porcelain shade and where it attaches to plug. This does have a rubber ring to cushion the play and the friction of screwing the shade on and off to replace the Bulb. Front on / off switch.
No chips.
No crazing.
One wear mark on back on the gold line detail, see picture.
