Sten2- Up for auction are these Civil War era Ration bags, each order will have 5 bags. They work great for hardtack, coffee beans, salt, sugar & meats. While I do not have specific documentation of the item, I made these for myself and they work well and so, I figure that a soldier of the period may have something similar. This auction will have 5 bags. Hand stenciled (not stamped).

Hard Bread bag measures 5 1/2"w X 8"H

Coffee & Salt Pork bags measure 5" W X 7" H.

Sugar & Salt bags measure 4" W X 5 1/2" H.

They will be of 100% cotton ticking fabric, This material is much more expensive than the cotton shirting material I use on my other, less expensive bags. The stenciling is painted on. Items are new made and never used. Hand made, sewn on modern machine. Great for soldier or civilian alike or Cowboy reenactors, CAS, living historians of the Victorian era. These could be used for everyday usage!!

NOTE: I do not have any documentation of these bags being issued and/or used, They are not presented as period items. If you have reservations about using these in a campaigner setting, please consult your unit guidelines.

I came up with this new version of bags as a more usable system than my previous offering
