The joint edition Ukraine-Kyrgyzstan presents the traditional jewelery embellishment of both countries.
The dukach is an old Ukrainian embellishment on what looks like a great medal-like coin with a metal bow, embellished with stones. The name resembles the word "ducat" - a coin. The dukach, serving as the singing compositional center of the woman’s breastplates, is fixed on the most visible part of the namist. The exhibit, performances on marches, is collected at the National Center of Folk Culture "Museum of Ivan Honchar" (m. Kiev).
Tumar is a traditional Kyrgyz breastplate embellishment on a tri-cut amulet with bagatma pіdvіskami in the lower part, yak, okrіm esthetic prioblivostі, small important sacral meaning and bula talisman, amulet. In the translation of the Arabic language, "tumar" means prayer. Traditionally, embellishment was worn over beads.
