Nicolae Balcescu (1819-1852)

Politician, historian, economist, writer and revolutionary democratic thinker. Participate actively in the Revolution of 1848, prepared in advance in a secret society (Masonic Lodge) called "Brotherhood." He was Secretary of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of 1848, with a leading role in setting goals and leading Romanian Revolution Country. It was submitted the figure of the Revolution and one of the most prominent European revolutionaries.

V. Alecsandri (1818 or 1821-1890)

Writer and politician. Join the Revolution of 1848 and the union of Moldavia with Romanian Country in 1859, and then performing several diplomatic missions in Italy (1859) and France (1885-1890). He led Romania Literary Magazine (1855), while publishing the first collection of Romanian folk poetry "Poems people. Ballads. Amount traditionally" (1853). A founding member of Romanian Literary Society and then honorary member of the Romanian Academic Society. He was a member of a Lodge in Iasi (1857).
