On August 28, 2020, the National Postal Operator put into circulation "Germans" postage stamps of the "National Minorities in Ukraine" series, which are dedicated to the history and culture of the German minority in Ukraine. The series was started by Ukrposhta in 2015 with an issue dedicated to the Crimean Tatars. In 2016, the continuation of the series was the postage stamps "Jews", in 2017 - "Roma", and in 2019 - "Greeks". As part of the issue "National minorities in Ukraine. Germans" Ukrposhta issued four postal miniatures: "Dance of Sternpolka", "Christmas", "In the Field" and "SchΓΆnborn Castle".
Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen, Bishop of the German Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ukraine Pavlo Schwartz, Chairman of the Council of Germans in Ukraine Volodymyr Leisle, as well as Head of the Department of Philatelic Products of Ukrposhta Natalia took part in the special redemption ceremony of postage stamps, which took place on August 28 in Kyiv. The famous Ukrainian artist Mykolai Kochubei worked on the sketches of postage stamps. Historian Dr. Alfred Eisfeld and the staff of the Council of Germans of Ukraine provided advisory support for the work.
A "First Day" envelope was issued for the postage stamp and a special redemption stamp was made. The circulation of each postage stamp is 130,000 copies.
