of cylindrical form, painted in gilt on the exterior with four lotus flowers linked by interlocking stems and foliage suspending various Buddhist emblems below a band of alternating ruyi-heads and lotus blooms around the rim and a border of 'T'-scrolls surmounted by lotus buds at the foot, all over a coral red glaze ground, with turquoise glaze in the interior and on the base, incised with a six characters mark in iron red
