It is suitable replacement for the C010750 chip in the Atari 2600 series of consoles, RIOT chip in the Commodore SFD1001 C64 drives, Commodore MPS 832 printer and the Colecovision Expansion Module 1, as well as many other uses.
Description:
The 6532 RAM Input / Output Timer (RIOT) is an input / output module from MOS Technology, which was later also manufactured by other companies such as Rockwell. It integrates 128 bytes of static RAM, two bidirectional digital 8-bit inputs / outputs and a programmable interval timer. This high level of integration made this device very popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s because it could replace several integrated circuits (ICs).
The component was most widely used for the Atari 2600 video game console. The chip also became famous in Gottlieb pinball machines such as Haunted House or Black Hole.
These IC's have been tested in an original Atari 2600; both 6 switch and 4 switch. I will be testing them in a Jr. soon.
If your Atari 2600 is dead and needs a new RIOT chip, this will get it back up and running! See the last picture; it is one of these actual chips installed in a 6 switch Atari 2600. These chips work in all series of the Atari 2600.
