Much has been said of the diaries of Peter Beard, but few have ever seen them. Every page is an arrestingly intricate collage of images, text, and ink. Beard allows everything into his diary--photographic images, pen-and-ink work, names and addresses of friends, and smears of blood and coffee which recur throughout. Every page of this beautifully reproduced edition is a barrage of visual and intellectual stimulation, providing a look into the personal life of this extraordinary man. One of the most inspiring books on a work of art ever published.

The boards have light wear. Couple of spots of foxing to the front board and to the edges. Internally, binding tight. Hinges sound. Beautiful images. Scattered very light foxing to the rear endpaper. The dust jacket has light wear. Minor chips to the head and heel of the DJ spine. Rubbing to the spine. Not price clipped. The obi appears to be in great condition with light edge wear. The book is now mylar protected.

A nice copy. Scarce.
