  product description
AMD KAVERI A8-7600

AMD's generation of KAVERI platform processors is here. Another of the processors of this platform is the A8-7600 with a number of advanced technologies, which is intended for desktop computers. The processor is manufactured using an advanced 28 nm manufacturing process, which brought with it a further reduction in consumption and higher performance in the form of a higher base frequency and better clocking.
KAVERI APU processors
The family of processors denoted by the abbreviation APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) of AMD is growing by other members. After the economical Richland models comes a series of KAVERI processors, which are designed for desktop use and modern powerful laptops. These hybrid APUs combine powerful processor cores (CPU) with a modern, unusually powerful graphics chip (GPU) for an integrated solution. All of this is made possible by the advanced 28 nm manufacturing process, which allowed a large number of transistors to be squeezed into these APUs. The processor does not share the graphics or processor core architecture with its predecessors (Llano, Trinity, Richland). This generation of processors uses the combination of the Steamroller processor architecture together with the graphics architecture of the Radeon R7 series (GCN+).
Powerful graphics
The graphics core has a modern architecture, which is known from modern AMD cards, and it goes without saying that it supports DX 11.2, API MANTLE, TRUEAUDIO technology or acceleration of played videos. In the case of this processor, the AMD Radeon R7 Series graphics core is used, which is clocked at 720 MHz.
Useful features
The AMD A8-7600 processor is designed for the modern Socket FM2+ platform. A dual-channel DDR3 memory controller is supported with the possibility of using memories with a clock rate of up to 2133 MHz. The new technology is hUMA (heterogeneous uniform memory architecture), thanks to which the CPU and GPU share the entire memory as one address space. Thanks to this unidirectional unified access, the CPU can access data in GPU memory and vice versa. This solution removes the delay of the processor part, when the graphics chip is overloaded, helps the smooth and simultaneous operation of the CPU together with the GPU. There is also support for HSA (Heterogeneous System Architecture), which ensures the distribution of resources within the architecture for CPU and GPU needs.
Key properties
The A8-7600 model is designed for the FM2+ socket and contains four processor cores that operate at a frequency of 3.1GHz and can use a Turbo frequency of 3.8GHz. These cores have 4MB of L2 Cache available. The processor also includes a dual-channel DDR3 memory controller with frequency support of up to 2133MHz.
The TDP of the processor given by the manufacturer is 65W
