The much-anticipated SCSA Taipan is now available.
In SCSA’s manual for the Taipan it is stated “…
ALWAYS push the cleaning/oiling patch from the muzzle end…”
Due to the design of the rifle and SCSA’s instructions
prompted the design of this cleaning jig, to protect your rifle during cleaning.
The Bolt Face Protector was designed to do exactly
that, to protect the bolt face from the cleaning jag or bush coming into
contact with it. This part is inserted just like the regular magazine, and is held in place by the magazine catch. This part can also be used to hold the rifle in a vice. It has also been designed with a recess to collect dirty
patches and solvent, also in interior edge has been raised to provide
protection to the rifle for shooters that wish to use a bore bush.
The Muzzle Protector/Funnel is threaded onto your muzzle
(finger tight, do not over tighten) and acts to protect the crown of your muzzle
to guide the cleaning jag or brush into the centre of the bore without coming
into contact with the crown.
We hope that using these items in conjunction with
SCSA’s recommended cleaning and maintenance processes that your investment into
the rifle is serviceable and accurate for its life time.
When finished cleaning remove from the firearm and
clean with hot soapy water or break cleaner.
