Built of curly maple and rosewood by La Permanente Mobili in Cantu, Italy circa 1948 (the company still builds contemporary furniture),
this set is quite the showpiece.  Both buffet and server feature very large mirrors with backlit polychrome designs at each end (look carefully at the photos).  Light sockets have been fitted with adaptors to insert American bulbs. The server also has a lighted compartment for barware with etched glass sliding doors (also in photos).  Buffet, server and table all feature glass tops covering a changeable paper liner.  The table is one piece (no leaves) and will accommodate eight chairs.  The table glass was cracked in one corner during a move, also damaging the paper liner.  The glass is better replaced on site once the table is in place, the liner can be replaced with paper or fabric of your choice to compliment your decor.  The chairs are serviceable but could be tightened, the vinyl upholstery is original and shows some wear.  With a little work on the chairs and a new table glass, it will look magnificent.
