How to Install
For Best Results
Tools: Heat Gun or Blow Dyer / Padded Glove or Felt Tip Squeegee
- Rinse / Soap your Tail Light Break Light to get rid of debris prior to application
- Peel off Tail Light Tint Overlay
- Starting with the Turn Signal - align the curve of the overlay with the with the inside curve of the Turn signal at the top left corner for DS or top Right corner for PS.
- Align it parallel to the inside curve line and adjust where needed to allow the overlay to lay flat.
- The ends of the overlay where it lays closest to the middle of the trunk or the slit between turn / reverse light, the overlay will be at or a little over depending on your positioning. If it does go over make sure to fold it.
- Reverse light - Begin laying by matching the edges where it is closest to the turn signal light and match the edge " \" for DS for "/" for PS. Once matched, lay it down.
- Make sure you have a padded card or soft glove to put on your fingers to begin applying the overlay on the light. If not, your fingers will work
- If using your fingers, start from the left to right on Driver's Side and Vice Versa for the Passenger side. Make your way towards the middle of the bumper or vice versa. Swipe left and right gradually to reduce bubbles.
- Start from the top portion of the Brake light and lay that down first then work your way towards the bottom end of the tail light. MAKE SURE you leave air channels for the air to escape.
- DO NOT LAY EVERYTHING AT ONCE or there will be no airway for the trapped air to escape.
- If you have a blow dryer or heat gun, use it to get rid of any tiny bubbles and improve adhesion
- If there are bubbles make sure you press firmly with your finger and swipe it towards the closest edge
- If you mess up, you can peel it off right away with no hassle, and add some heat to get rid of the wrinkles.
- For Best application, use water underneath and squeegee out the water once desired placement is met
- Do not forget to post heat vinyl to increase tackiness and from lifting.
