Breguet’s “200th Anniversary of the Tourbillon,” and “Machiner ‘a Mesurer le Temps”

We at Strickland Vintage Watches have had the privilege of buying fine things from around the world, often acquiring entire estates just to get one piece. There might be several good items in a group that are outside our sphere of interest. However, they may just be the wonderful treasures you've been seeking!  Here's a perfect example of such a group of items: two (exceedingly) rare Breguet books – “200^th Anniversary of the Tourbillon,” and “Machiner ‘a Mesurer le Temps.”

Of course 2001 was a special year for Breguet, as they have been in business since 1775 and celebrated their 200^th year by creating an exquisite anniversary model, the famed 867:  28 in white gold; 28 in pink gold and 10 in platinum. If you have the extraordinary good fortune of owning one of these works of art … do you have these books? Neither has been opened; both in their original wrapping. Both measure 9 ½ by 6 ¾ inches. Because we haven't opened the shrink wrap, we are unsure what language the books are written in. We think "Machiner 'a Mesurer le Temps is in French and one the "200th Anniversary of the Tourbillion is in English, but we cannot be sure.
