On offer is this magnificent necklace for the serious collector. A stunning genuine 1900 Antique Chinese Mandarin Full Imperial Court Necklace which is patterned after the Buddhist rosary or Mala consisting of 108 perfectly matched Black Eye Agate (12mm) Gemstones in four sections of 27 beads, separated by three larger silver enamel beads (28mm) and one large gourd shaped bead (46mm) that hangs down the back to act like a counterweight. From this lead bead is a flat woven yellow silk tape with a large silver enameled pendant (46mm) and at the end of it is a silver metal enamel drop (42mm). Three additional strings of smaller hand made Chinese silver metal and blue enamel filigree beads terminate in silver metal enamel drops with filigree silver caps. The Black Eye Agate beads are hand carved. These stunning court necklaces were worn by high officials at the Emperors court and were made of semi precious gemstones depending on the rank of the official. I believe the highest officials had the rank to wear the yellow silk tape on their necklaces. Lesser officials had wood beads. Only the Emperor or Empress were allowed to have their court necklaces made of Pearls. The necklace is in very fine condition with no damage or repairs. A beautiful historical piece of Chinese history with exquisite craftsmanship.  This necklace is from my private collection and guaranteed to be genuine as described.
