Antique Renaissance Style Wall Safe Bronze Wall Mount Cabinet Lock Box Lions.

Incredible wall mounted bronze safe box/wall cabinet. In the style of Renaissance church safe/lock boxes. I have no idea when this piece was made. If I had to guess it’s first half 19th century or second half 18th century but it could be much older. I assume the wood section was replaced at some point a long time ago, along with mounting hardware. The cast bronze portion I believe is older. It has a lock and key. The skeleton key is bent at the top and I didn’t want to break it so I didn’t test if the lock is functioning. Otherwise this piece is in fantastic antique condition. When I acquired it there were keys were hanging off hook in the box. I’ll include them in the sale. The detail in the bronze is very good. There is a lion on either side and a face at the peak. I don’t see a makers mark anywhere but there could be one hiding. It is roughly 10”x14” at its most extreme points and approximately 2.75” deep. Weight is a tad shy of 8lbs. This is a very unique piece. I could not find anything like it for sale anywhere. It could be used for many things. Would make a great valet for your keys, wallet, and must haves by a door. Would be great as a jewelry box, you could hang rings, necklaces, and bracelets from the hooks. It could house basically anything you want. Some small shelves could be added to the inside. Conversely it just looks amazing without having any function at all. Ships ASAP! Thanks
