Cathode Ray Tube (CRT), type VCR97, Air Ministry stores ref 10E/222. This tube type was originally designed for the early WW2 air-to-surface-vessel radar (ASV) and later widely used in other airborne systems. This particular artifact has lost most of its printed type numbering but still carries the AC Cossor inspection stamp. AC Cossor manufactured many of the indicator units for the wartime airborne Gee navigation receivers and H2S radar systems.
