DESCRIPTION:         Boy Scout WITH THANKS Sterling Silver award,  Emblem, with a patina consistent with this vintage item,  hallmarks on the reverse including DGC (Daniel George Collins) which was for the manufacturer of many such Boy Scout items in the UK

-the letters DGC is for Daniel George Collins Ltd. a company that produced a variety of Scouting badges, plumes and awards since 1910

-other symbols on the reverse are an anchor, lion and a capital T, the anchor symbol is for the Birmingham assay office in England, the Lion symbol denotes sterling silver and the stylized T suggests this WITH THANKS badge was produced in 1968

-I believe that similar Honours, Awards, Medals & Decorations of the Boy Scout movement were used for many years in a variety of commonwealth countries and territories including the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa and New Zealand but if anyone knows for sure please let us know
