DESCRIPTION:       ACHIEVEMENT CANADA 1951 – the badge had GOLD thread embroidered on red felt, this award is normally found on section flags, certain award standards had to be met in order for a Scouting group or section with a Scouting Group to earn this award, this may have been for increasing Membership within the group but if anyone knows for sure please let me know  

-the program for these awards was for only 3 years from 1951 to 1953  

-measures approximately 5” x 4” or 130 mm x 100 mm 

-as you will notice this award badge is very similar in colour and look to the Canadian National Neckerchief badge used in the 1950’s

Passionate about District / Area / Region Badges? 

The trading & collecting of district badges have been a MAJOR focus of collectors of Scout memorabilia for a long time.  Youth and leaders alike attending Scouting Jamborees and other such events have traded such badges for decades. Vintage camp blankets were typically interspersed with these treasures.  

This is one Scout collectible that I have never fully understood and do not collect.
