Historical Cufflinks
Historical cufflinks, military remembrance WWI First World War, 48th
Highlanders of Canada buttons
World War I (1914-18) Commemorative Cufflinks
These are a beautiful pair of
cufflinks made with genuine 48th Highlanders of Canada buttons from
the era of the First World War, over 100 years ago. This pair of cufflinks is made from two brass
Canadian Forces – 48th Highlanders of Canada buttons, typical of
those worn during the First World War and during the Ypres, Somme, Vimy and
Passchendaele campaigns amongst others.
The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond
pattern on the swivel. They are made
using small buttons from a tunic, perfect in size for large cufflinks and are 22
mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of Canadian
and First World War history. The brass
buttons have been carefully cleaned to retain the original character of the
buttons which are approximately 105 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful
details of these original buttons.
This is a truly unique gift and a
chance to own a small piece of history lovingly restored and made into a
beautiful pair of cufflinks. They are
presented in a luxury wooden cufflink box and cardboard cover to make them the
perfect present.
