Heated mirrors could be one of the rarest, if not the rarest accessory to 92-95 Civics. It was JDM option only and theres not a lot of those switches available for those who would like to retrofit that option.

I happen to own OEM Heated Mirror switch and after studying an common, non-heated mirror switch, i saw that the PCB has pre-drilled component locations and the switch housing has a support for defroster button. I reverse-engineered the circuit and designed a drill jig using OEM Heated Mirror front button as a template.

The OEM 6 pin electrical switch for defrost is discontinued model. Luckily I found one that has the same throw and feel that OEM switch has.

3D printed parts are accurately modeled from OEM-parts to ensure perfect fitment and the button internals are slightly modified to accept the OEM-style latching switch. Plastic parts are 3D-printed with FDM-printer, using 150um layer height (button) and 200um layer height (drill jig) and with high quality print settings. Prints have 100% infill, which means they are mostly solid plastic. The material for the button is orange, dimension accurate high quality PETG-plastic, which is durable for car use even in hot summer days. The drill jig material is black PETG and second colour is orange PETG and the jig is designed to be one time use only for accuracy reasons (as you press the OEM switch front bezel to the jig and dremel/drill/sand against the jig edge to get the perfect shape to OEM bezel, you probably cannot re-use the jig).

Keep in mind this is a DIY-kit. You need disassemble your own mirror switch and use the included template to drill/sand a hole (dremel) to the mirror switches front bezel. With the jig, it can be done perfectly and it will replicate the OEM-look. After that, you need to remove the laquer from OEM mirror switch PCB to solder the parts to it. The mirror switch PCB has pre-made holes for parts (thanks Honda!). I personally just carefully sand the laquer away using dremel, but it probably can be removed using acetone or paint thinner.

Use q-tip and isopropanol to remove the original white mirror lettering from the switch front bezel if you want, do not use acetone or thinner, or you will melt the plastic.

After installing this kit to your mirror switch, the mirror switch PIN 8 (which a pin behind the switch, where the OEM wire harness clips) outputs +12v when the heated mirror button is pressed. Use that pin to drive an automotive relay, which supplies current to your heated mirrors. Do not try to drive heated mirrors straight from the switch without relay, or you will break the switch.

The OEM wire harness already has a +12v supply and GND, no need to add those. You will only need to add one wire to the PIN8 in OEM mirror switch harness.

Converting non-heated mirrors to heated: Just buy correctly sized self adhesive heating pads for mirrors from example ebay, disassemble mirrors from the housings and route the wires through the mirror triangles to the car.

Each package includes all the parts needed to convert your own OEM Mirror switch to Heated Mirror switch. Every Civic EG 92-95 mirror switch is compatible with this set, it doesn´t matter if the switch is Power Folding or Non-power folding.

READ CAREFULLY: Each sale includes only one full set of parts for the retrofit. Anything else visible in the pictures is just for reference use and are not included in the sale. You see what you get in the second picture, which shows the parts over white paper sheet. First picture shows example installation to car and picture #7 shows retrofit parts installed to normal mirror switch PCB. Every unit thats for sale is already printed, assembled,tested and packed. I don´t "print on demand", because it causes delay to the customer.

The sets from 26.7.2023 onwards are packed inside sturdy PP-box, which is inside bubble wrapped letter.
