This is the second book of 49 Quick Readers published in the late 1930’s, early 1940’s by Royce Publishers. Beginning at number 101 (the first book) and ending with number 149 (49 total books n the series) this is a wonderful series to collect. First published out of CANADA, then in the 1940’s, from Chicago, Il. I am uncertain of how many titles were published first in CANADA as they are extremely rare and only a few titles are known. Each of these books measures approximately 3”x4-1/2” and has about 126 pages . Each book has a beautiful, full color cover with black and white interior illustrations. There were only two artists used for these books Axelrod and Cirkle. The books are staple bound but printed to look like they have perfect bound spines! A truly wonderful series to collect. Some of the titles are much more rare than others, but all are collectable. This is book #102 marketed as a “Western Mystery Thriller” by Stewart Edward White. All books have some degree of wear, creasing, chipping, tanning, fading, foxing, soiling, staining critter nibbles and wear. Please see photos for the best idea of condition.
