Presentation copy inscribed and signed by the author on the half-title page thus: "to Russell David Attenborough"; "Reprinted June 1979" by Collins, 319pp., text generally in decent order albeit with slight slight browning to page edges and browning to the front and rear end papers, very slight bumping and rubbing to board corners and to the sides of boards - heavier to the base of both boards which are quite noticeably rubbed, bumping and rubbing to the top of the spine - much heavier to the base which also has a couple of small splits,  both boards very slightly marked,  the dust jacket has internal & external browning, slight shelf wear with very slight scuffing to the corners and to the top and bottom of the spine, both front and rear have some marks and scratches.
